1. Auragens – Panama City
Auragens is on the 48th floor of Oceania Business Plaza and uses donor umbilical cord MSCs made in its own lab. Most programs run five days.
- Prices: publishes starting prices of $28,750 for adults and $14,500 for children 12 and under. See our cost guide.
- Doctors: names Dr. Carlos Díaz as chief medical officer and Dr. Christian Díaz as medical director, plus a wider team.
- Licensing: describes AABB accreditation. AABB is a US standards organization, not a government regulator. We found no mention of MINSA licensing.
- History: no founding year stated.
2. Regeneration Clinic of Panama – Panama City
This clinic is in the Sortis Business Tower and uses donor Wharton's jelly MSCs prepared in its own lab.
- Prices: its pricing page gives $5,000 to $30,000, depending on the protocol. Its FAQ page says $10,000 to $30,000.
- Doctors: names Dr. Javier E. Garrido as a physician with a master's degree in stem cell therapy, and a chief scientific officer.
- Licensing and history: neither found on the pages we reviewed.
- Billing: says it does not provide itemized bills or financing.
Not ranked, and why:
- Stem Cell Institute met every transparency check: it says its lab is licensed by Panama's Ministry of Health, publishes prices (adults from $26,900), names its medical director, Dr. Jorge Paz-Rodriguez, and says it has treated patients since 2006. But its Google rating in our directory data is 3.8 from 101 reviews, below our 4.0 minimum, so we did not rank it. We will re-check it at our next review.
- Panama Cell Therapies (PCT) has no Google review data in our directory, and its website names no doctors and publishes no prices.
How to verify a clinic in Panama
- Ask about MINSA licensing in writing. Ask the clinic for proof that the clinic and the lab that makes its cells are licensed by Panama's Ministry of Health (MINSA). See MINSA's official site.
- Check the doctor. Ask for the treating doctor's full name and idoneidad (license to practice) number. MINSA's Technical Health Council (Consejo Técnico de Salud) issues these licenses and offers a free app called "Consejo Técnico" to check a doctor's name, license number and specialty (MINSA notice).
- Ask about the cells. What tissue do they come from? How many cells, in millions, will you receive, and over how many sessions?
